Summer Camp Entries – Part 3: Tuesday
Hey guys!! 🙂
Today, I’ll be writing about my second full day at camp! If you haven’t already seen parts one and two, make sure to check them out before or after (your choice) reading this one! There is some really interesting stuff that goes on! Oke, now let’s get into Tuesday! 😀
I ended up sleeping in today because I was so tired from Monday; between the morning run and the sports, I was dead. Eventually, I dragged myself out of bed and got ready for the day with all of my essential skincare and sunscreen because I burn in like 0.214 seconds. For breakfast, we had breakfast tacos, banana bread, and potatoes. It was actually pretty good! By the way, as someone who is gluten-free, let me just say that the camp was really good at handling all my gluten-free needs, and there was always something for me, which was amazing! They even had gluten-free cookies!! 😀
Usually, we do club at night, but today we did it in the morning and it was just as fun! But after that, we all got changed into our bathing suits for the pool olympics. 🏊 Thankfully, I wasn’t chosen to compete again because I couldn’t swim. I’m still not great at it, to be honest. My friend and I just watched from the side, and let me tell you, the competitors did really well!
After a few hours, the pool olympics came to an end, and we all went and changed for lunch. We did high, low, buffalo, and everyone had really good answers. I’m pretty sure for my high, I just said the food because I’m a foodie. 🙂
Before I state what we did next, you should take note that I am *terrified* of heights. I just don’t think they’re necessary. 😑 But there I was, on the three-person swing, which went pretty high, praying for my dear little life. Looking back, it was actually pretty fun, and after the first drop, it was really enjoyable! They strapped you into a harness, which was attached to a beam that was attached to the trees. You sat down, and it raised you higher and higher in reverse, and then, once you were at the top, you pulled the rope, which let you go flying forward, and then you fell backwards, and that happened a few times until it slowed down and you were stopped. I went with my leader and friend, and we all had a great time! It definitely made my heart skip a few beats, but it was so worth it!!
To celebrate not dying after that, we went to the cafe, and I got a mango smoothie, which was very good, by the way. Then it was back to reading some more and trying to nap, which never works for me. 🙄 But what made my reading that much more ✨aesthetic✨ was the thunder. It was loud —like shaking the cabin, kind of loud. It made for good vibes, though, so I enjoyed it. 🙂
A little while later, we went to dinner and did another club (yay!), which was so much fun as always! Then we all headed back to the cabin, and my leaders, friend, and I talked about the most random things and almost died laughing. At least, I know I did, I was on the floor, basically dying. I love those guys so much. ♥️
We fit a lot into one day, but it was very exciting! I’d say Tuesday was a success!
See ya later! 🙂
