Summer Camp Entries – Part 4: Wednesday

Hey guys!! 🙂

I woke up early again today to attend the swim lessons offered at camp. However, after the swim lessons, I realized the whole time I kind of could, I just wasn’t very confident in my swimming abilities. It didn’t help that they made me swim like a frog, but hey, actually, nvm —I can’t think of anything positive in this situation. I’ll take freestyle over breaststroke any day. 

You’ll never guess what I did once I got back to my cabin… I read some more. Shocker, I know. Also, if you’re going to summer camp, do not ever underestimate the power of bringing bug spray. I had at least 15 bites all over my leg, and it was like torture, so make sure to bring bug spray. 🙃

Next was breakfast, which was pretty good. While we were at breakfast, they announced a competition for the cleanest cabin… and bribes were allowed. >:) So, I got to work on that right away after cleaning up my bunk. For the bribes, I drew a knife (it was very pretty 🥹), and I wrote a poem for them. Our cabin was pretty neat, and I assumed the best for us, but… we didn’t win. 😞 It’s okay because at least we have a clean cabin now! (It only stayed that way for like 5 minutes, though.) 

We had lots of free time today, which is always the best! So, my friend and I kind of just talked and chilled for a few hours; I didn’t realize we had so much in common! ☺️

After free time, we raced on the Naskart track, where I shared a kart with my friend (I drove). One problem, I got a lil competitive and sped up around the corners, which my friend didn’t like, but I refuse to be last, okay. Also, I saved the camp. How did I save the camp?? Well, let’s just say there was a huge spider in the middle of the track, and I might have run it over. In my defense, it was in my way, and I didn’t have time to turn. Also, it freaked me out; like, there is no need for them to have eight eyes and legs! It’s just not necessary. Anyways ~ 🙃

After that, we kind of just chilled, had dinner, went to club, and did a cabin talk.

Overall, today was a really good day and one of my favorites because of the Naskart racing. It was rlly fun 😊
