Summer Camp Entries – Part 6: Friday

Hey guys!! 🙂

Friday was our last full day at camp (😔), but don’t worry, it was still a really good day! Today, we finally got to sleep in and were even brought breakfast to our cabins, so we didn’t have to get up. It was nice because I didn’t have to rush my makeup for breakfast since I had plenty of time today. Also… I might have forgotten to journal on Friday as well… so, I’m gonna try to put this together as best as I can again, lol.

Today was a lot more laid-back than the other days, so we had a lot of extra free time. (It was a nice way to wind down before we had to leave the next day.) And honestly, while all the super productive days were fun, I really liked being able to just wander around camp with my friend and come up with random song lyrics. 🙃 During our free time, that’s what we did quite a bit. She would give me inspiration for lyrics, and I would try to put together a verse. It was really fun! 

Thankfully, they gave us a few hours to get ready for today’s event… a dance! (It’s probably the only dance I’ll ever go to since my school doesn’t have one, TT.) One of the girls in our cabin (she was so sweet!—to be honest, all the girls were!!) straightened my hair, and I was really happy with how it looked! 😊 Then, I actually did it!! You guys, I did a wing with my eyeliner pen! It might have taken like 10 minutes for each one, but I was very happy with how it ended up!! 😀 One of my favorite memories at camp (and there were a lot of course) was when I was actually doing my makeup for the dance in the bathroom mirror with all the other girls because they were all so supportive and kind, and it was just the best! I really loved being surrounded by a community of girls in our whole cabin that just hyped each other up. I kind of want to cry looking back at this; they were so sweet. 🥹

After my makeup and hair were done, I put on my dress, which was pretty cute; I really liked the blue gingham pattern, it twas very nice. 👌 Then we all headed over for dinner, where we were given roses (don’t get too excited, all of the girls got one, I’m still single lol 👍), and then afterwards, we all went out front and had a silent disco! My cabin group also took plenty of pictures… a few of me that I wish weren’t taken (awkward angles), but it was still fun. 🙂 

For the silent disco, we were all given headphones with 3 channels, and I loved it when HOTTOGO and other popular songs came on, because of all the girls’ reactions. 😊 I danced a little (crazy, am I right?), but for the most part, my friend and I just stayed off to the side and watched everyone else. (People watching is the best; definitely recommend it.)

Then we all headed back and did cabin time before we started organizing our cabin and packing a little because we wanted to be ready when we had to leave the next day. It took a lot of courage for me to remove the wings I had drawn, because I had worked so hard on them. 😣 But, yeah, that was all for today!
